Dental X-rays are sometimes taken of the teeth, bones, and surrounding soft tissues to aid in the diagnostic process. X-rays can reveal cavities, hidden dental structures (such as wisdom teeth), and bone loss that cannot be seen during a visual examination. Dental X-rays may also be done as follow-up after dental treatments to confirm healing.

X-rays are only taken when we believe it will directly benefit your dental health. All X-rays taken at Kenmore Dental Centre are digital. This enables crystal clear imaging with only 10% of the radiation exposure required for the standard equivalent film x-ray.
